Private life

Isolde is an active woman with a profession that takes her all around the world. However, the rally driver also holds her private life extremely dear. Find out what Isolde makes time for in her leisure time.

Family
"Most definitely, my husband Andi represents my biggest support. He backs me up when I have to undertake a long journey. But my family also supports me a lot. The birth of my son Niklas has massively changed my life. In former times, I could do what ever I felt like. Now, I have to schedule things completely differently. I have always had a good organisational ability, but now this has become even more important. Our little one is our pride and joy."

Home
"I’m deeply rooted. Over the course of my career, I travelled all around the world, and I saw a lot of cities and countries I really liked. But even if fate had taken me to another place, never have I lost my contact to Bad Bayersoien. Here are my roots and this is my home I will always love to return to."

Mountaineering
"For me, there isn't anything better than standing on the top of a mountain. This is something you may compare with motor racing. There, I also want to always make it to the top. Furthermore, the mountains offer me the opportunity of enjoying the peace, the calmness and the nature. It's nice to have the chance of getting away from it all, now and then. Nevertheless, even when mountaineering I'm a true sports woman and tend to regularly look at the watch."

Music
"In my leisure time, I play the clarinet and I'm a member of the Bad Bayersoien brass band, it gives me a wonderful change. During a rehearsal or a concert, I'm completely relaxed. I started playing the clarinet back in the years of my childhood, but when I embarked upon motor racing I didn't have enough time. Today, however, I play again and enjoy it massively."
