New challenges and well-known territory

8th March 2006

Together with the brass band Bad Bayersoien, Isolde recently recorded a CD in a sound studio. Next weekend, the hobby musician returns to well-known terrain, the rally circuit.

Together with 31 musicians of the brass band Bad Bayersoien, Isolde went to the studio to record a CD at the beginning of March. The musicians spent two days in the studio. This turned out to be a whole new experience for Isolde, who was understandably nervous before the recording. The tension, however, died down very soon. "It was very interesting and a lot of fun," the passionate clarinettist reports. "During the recording, you have to be highly focused to avoid mistakes. But it worked out well and the nervousness was gone quickly." The CD release is scheduled for the end of May. It can be purchased at concerts of the brass band Bad Bayersoien or online (www.blaskapelle-bad-bayersoien.de).

After this journey into the world of music, Isolde will return to the race track next weekend. At the ADAC Bayern Rallye Oberland, Isolde is part of the organisers' committee, supporting the 85 participants as an adviser to the drivers. The rally will be hosted by Isolde's home club MSC Bayerischer Rigi and it covers a total distance of 270 kilometres. The start and finish line is in Schongau. A total of 13 stages has to be completed by drivers from Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Finland and Russia.

"This year, we can present yet another attractive, international grid", says Isolde. "The rally is always appreciated by all participants. I am very excited and I am looking forward to the weekend." The race preparations, however, did not run smoothly. The enormous amounts of snow that have come down in Southern Bavaria during the last few days have obviously caused the rally organisers some problems. Isolde, however, ensures that the situation will be under control. "The assistants are clearing the streets right now. I am sure the conditions will be fine." The ADAC Bayern Rallye Oberland is part of the ADAC Rallye Masters. Points collected here will also count for the Mitropa Cup. The rally will start at 18:00hrs on Friday.
